Dolphin Discovery Centre

Opening Hours:  The centre is open daily from 8.00am-4.00pm (October - May) 09.00am - 2.00pm (June - September). CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY - 25TH DECEMBER The centre enables visitors to interact with wild Bottlenose dolphins by visiting the Interaction Zone, our 360 degree digital dolphinarium and our interpretive centre.  You may also participate in one of the following tours:  Swim on the Wild Side Tours 15 October – 30 April daily at 7:30am (subject to minimum numbers). NOTE: 01 May – 14 October Swim on the Wild Side Tours do not operate.  Eco Cruises 01 October – 31 May daily at 11am and 01 June - 30 September at 11am Saturdays and Sundays ONLY.  With over 150 Bottlenose dolphins living in the bay, groups of them can regularly be seen in the shallow waters in front of the centre (Interaction Zone).  In addition our cafe offers Yahava coffee, light meals and assorted cakes and biscuits. These may be enjoyed in our relaxed alfresco area overlooking the bay.  The souvenir shop boasts an extensive range of trinkets, t'shirts, toys and costume jewellery. The captivating photographs taken by our dedicated volunteer Fiona Harvey, of our resident dolphins in Koombana Bay are also available for purchase; 100% of the proceeds go towards ongoing dolphin research.
